Sutter Superior Court will be closed Monday, May 27, 2019 for Memorial Day. Sutter Superior Court has become aware of a telephone scam where the caller identifies themselves as an advocate for the court system and indicates there is a pending court date that requires attention. Please be aware that Sutter Superior Court does not work with third-party vendors for collections or jury services. Sutter Superior Court will never call individuals to request immediate payment by credit card over the phone. Litigants always have the opportunity to come into the courthouse or pay through the court's online portal. If you are in doubt about the status of a case pending with the court, please check using the court website or call any of the phone numbers listed publicly for the court. You will receive immediate and accurate information directly from local court staff.

As of July 1, 2017, Electronic Filing is mandatory in the following case types:
• Civil Cases (complex, unlimited, and limited)
• Small Claims cases are exempt
• Probate Cases
• Family Law Cases
Subject to exceptions listed in Sutter County Superior Court Rule 2.2, paper filings in the mandatory Electronic Filing case types will not be accepted after June 30, 2017.
